Welcome to the Cryptic Coop Club! A yarn and fiber club inspired our chickens we love and may have even lost along the way. Since very early on, it has been requested for us to dye yarn inspired by chickens and egg colors. We have finally given in and are excited to offer our new mystery club. This first quarter is inspired by Loretta, one of our Blue Laced Red Wyandotte hens.
This is a quarterly club. Pre-orders will be placed and all items are dyed to order. They will be shipped by April 1st, 2024 before the next quarter's pre-order is scheduled to go live. You will receive an email with shipping information when this happens.
Each quarter is a separate pre-order, so no long term commitments. This provides you flexibility to order exactly what you want each time or even skip. There will be a different fiber each quarter.

We have switched it up this year and will be offering TWO colorway options across all of the full skein bases, one variegated and one tonal. The sock set will have both colorways. Both colorways will be derived from the same inspiration photo.
The variegated colorway will be softly variegated with the possibility of light speckles. No harsh or extreme color shifts. We are focused on nuanced tones to create very wearable pieces. You can order as many skeins as you want, as long as there are quantities still in stock. The following bases will be available:
Mohair- 72% Kid Mohair 28% Silk, single-ply, 459 yards/50 grams
Extra Fine Suri- 65% Baby Suri Alpaca, 35% Silk, single-ply, 437 yards/50 grams
Merino Fingering- 100% Superwash Merino, 4-ply, 438 yards/100 grams
Sock- 80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon, 2-ply, 400 yards/100 grams
Super Soft NSW Fingering- 100% Organic Non-Superwash Merino, 4-ply, 438 yards/100 grams
Merino DK- 100% Superwash Merino, 4-ply, 231 yards/100 grams
Super Soft NSW DK- 100% Organic non-superwash Merino, 4-ply, 231 yards/100 grams
The Sock Set will consist of one 100g skein and one coordinating 20g mini on our 80/20 Sock base.

We are offering Targhee combed top as the fiber for this quarter. It is grown in the USA, offers an average 23 micron count and staple length of 3-5 inches.
